DIY (Do it yourself) teabag organizer cum storage box.

When you are a DIY enthusiast even your hubby will wave a box at you and say "do you need this for a DIY"? And yes it will be an empty box most likely. But I always shake them to see if there is something in it and if it is empty no big deal, who says an empty box can’t bring joy? Carrying on the series JUNK to JOY, let’s make this empty box more worthwhile by making a DIY (Do it yourself) teabag organizer cum storage box.

That being said let’s begin, for the   DIY (Do it yourself) teabag organizer cum storage box will need:

You are absolutely right a box, cardboard, ruler, pencil, glue and paint. Now I used this cardboard box to make a teabag organizer but you can customize it according to whatever else you want to store in it. It could be jewellery or even stationery.

First we make a grid so I measured the box and cut out three strips of cardboard. Since the inside of this box was 18cms x 18cms I cut the strips accordingly. Marked out 9cms on one and on the other two cardboard I marked 6cms apart in two places as you can see in the image.

Furthermore on these markings I cut grooves of one inch as seen here.

Now insert the cardboard like in this image to form a grid like this.

 You could leave it this way, however I stuck white paper over it. So this is how the inside looks.

I painted the outside of the box white and some flowers which gave a fresh look and the teabag organizer/ storage box looks so pretty!  Take a look.
