Those unnecessary plastic containers and tins have a
tendency to sneak into our homes and pile up so here are two DIY planter ideas
upcycled from plastic and tin the pretty way. So let’s get started.
DIY planter idea upcycled with plastic container:
You will need an old plastic container. I got mine from the
kitchen, even an old, small bucket will do. Some glue, cord of your choice and some
patience. Choose a plastic container that will easily fit your potted plants. If
you are using faux plants then no issues.
No rocket science involved, you just start sticking the cord
from the bottom of the container to the top. Go round and round like a
merry go round.
Patience is a virtue after which you will be rewarded with this
pretty planter that looks so boho chic. I just loved it
I used a thicker cord at
the top. It made all my plants look good and the proof is not in the pudding
but in these pictures.
DIY planter idea upcycled with tin container:
You will need any old tin container, some acrylic paint
and a paintbrush.
You go from this:
To this, you will need 2 – 3 coats of paint. Let the coat of
paint dry before you apply the next.
And then you get this.
For the end of the container, I used some gold paint as gold
with white looks cool. But you can use any colour of your choice. Just dab on
the paint with a brush. I think this one looks pretty too. What do you think?
Do let me know.
